- The 2022 growing season in the Royal Slope was marked by a cool, wet winter that provided much-needed soil moisture heading into spring. A rare April blizzard delayed bud break, but favorable conditions throughout summer allowed the vines to recover. Warm temperatures in late June carried into July and August, promoting excellent ripening and flavor development. A mild, extended fall created optimal harvest conditions, yielding Cabernet Sauvignon with impressive depth, concentration, and balance.
