The 2013 vintage was one of the warmer on record for Washington. We found letting the canopy grow and protect our clusters was a key strategy in maintaining fruit flavors and acidity. There were a number of days over 100 degrees which initially concerned us but as we started fermentations and tasted the resulting wine we enjoyed the mature flavors that developed. This is a full flavored and wonderfully balanced wine. I'd drink now or age till 2018-2019. This wine will help you become a believer in Merlot again, if you ever lost faith because of the silly movie.
